GEORGE, Wrestling with Resistance, is a film by Tim O'Donnell, a SCHS art teacher, that documents the life experiences of SCHS alumn, George Hargrove, through the lens of competitive wrestling. The trailer is provided here. (3/08/10)

Uniform Policy: The updated and complete SPS Mandatory School Uniform Policy is available by clicking here, but a brief summary is provided in the description that follows. The SCHS uniform consists of a black, collared shirt with white or black undershirt and tan or black pants or knee-length shorts or skirt. All clothing is to fit appropriately, and bottoms are to be worn at the waist. No jeans or cargo pants. No studded-belts. No insignias or patterns. Principals have discretion to limit the use of accessories. No hooded sweatshirts or any jackets during school, regardless of Central insignia. Black, non-hooded sweatshirts with Central insignia are acceptable.

 

Mission Statement

The mission of Springfield Central High School is to provide a rigorous academic program for college-bound students that encourages and supports students to communicate effectively, analyze problems, express their creativity, utilize technology, act responsibly and compassionately, and accept fully the duties of citizenship. Every Central High School student will graduate, having met the standards for each course, and be prepared for a two-year or four-year college without the need for remediation.

This website was designed for easy communication between everyone responsible for and interested in the goals and operations of Springfield Central High School.
