Kid’s Place Houghton Mifflin Mathematics
http://www.eduplace.com/kids/mhm/index.html?x=111&y=43
A really good site for extended Math Practice by Grade Level...The Test Prep Practice section gives children a chance to answer multiple choice questions online...Tests are broken down by grade level and chapters...The Brain Teasers section offers math word problems that require higher level thinking skills. It also offers “hints” to help jumpstart the thinking process and a “solution” button that shows and, better yet, explains the answer. Teachers in the lower grades would probably want to use the brain teasers with the class or small group. Upper grade students who are able can read the problems on their own. The Test Quest section has mini videos that explain one of four strategies used to help solve word problems. There is a sound button that allows the information to be read aloud. The strategies are demonstrated and explained. At the end of the video students have the opportunity to go and try out practice problems on their own... Definitely put this one in your favorites!
